Take 5! Studio Glithero puts Baddeley Brothers on film

Like a scene in a European arthouse film, the design presses and envelope folding machines at Baddeley Brothers have been given a starring role in a remarkable art exhibit.
Studio Glithero, a well respected Anglo-Dutch design alliance, has been filming the Baddeley Brothers presses in action, as part of an eye-catching artwork featuring five exclusively crafted paper airplanes.
The highly original collaboration between Studio Glithero’s Tim Simpson and Sarah van Gameron and Baddeley Brothers celebrates the manufacturing processes that have been used to produce a beautiful, complex and intricate set of limited edition paper airplanes. Inspired by geometry, the five designs have been developed to showcase the absolute precision and skill of the printer and their individual machine at each stage.
The six minute film will be edited to show how the combination of traditional mass production techniques including silver and gold die stamping, blind embossing, letterpress and litho as well as both machine and hand-folding, can create a highly unusual, and fun, work of art.
