Just a stone’s throw from the Olympic Village, Baddeley Brothers, the specialist printing and envelope making firm is ready for the inevitable transport disruption that up to 3 million visitors a day will create.
Preparations are well underway to ensure that the business runs smoothly throughout the Olympics and Paralympics – so much so, that Director Charles Pertwee was chosen by the London 2012 planners to feature in a video providing travel advice to other companies in the area.
Charles explained his Olympic planning:
“We started thinking about this at the beginning of last year, so we’ve been able to make the necessary investment in a new computer system to assist off-site work and we’ve already discussed with our suppliers and customers the restrictions that may be in place in our area and across London,” commented Charles. “After such a long build-up, we’re now all really excited about the Games coming to London and to be chosen by the organisers to star in one of their official videos is a great opportunity to promote our business. I know that many companies looking to prepare effectively for the Olympics will be arranging their own celebrations, so may be looking for the specialist printing that we provide.”
